The “Your preparation” page, the seven domains and their weights, the self-assessment by competency and what the two rings measure.

The “Your preparation” page

This is the home page of the prep (CCFT Prep in the navigation). It brings together:

  • two rings: your preparation, from your self-assessment, and your mastery, from your practice;
  • your overall readiness as a percentage and the domain to prioritise;
  • the number of questions due for review today;
  • the countdown to your target exam date, if you entered one;
  • the state of your preparation: Not started yet, In preparation, Under review or Cleared to book the exam;
  • shortcuts to the next lesson, your study plan, your assignments, the mock exam, See & correct, the film room, your peer pod, your hours log and your CEU tracker;
  • the seven domains of the exam, each with its weight and its verdict.

The seven domains and their weights

The prep content follows the seven domains of the exam. Their weights are used to weight your readiness, the split of questions in the weighted mix and the split of mock-exam questions.

The self-assessment

Each domain page offers the chapter introduction, study tips, the domain’s resources and the self-assessment: you rate your confidence on each competency, from 1 (low) to 5 (solid), then save. You can redo it whenever you like: your latest score for each competency is the one that counts.

From these scores, the platform works out:

  • a percentage per domain and a verdict: Ready, To consolidate or To work on;
  • an overall readiness, weighted by each domain’s exam weight;
  • the domain to prioritise, the one with your lowest score.

Two measures, two uses

  • Preparation (self-assessment): what you think you can do. Useful to choose where to work.
  • Mastery (practice): what your answers show over time, under the spaced repetition rule.

Neither one triggers the green light to book the exam: only your coach gives it, after his own review. See Validation and clear to book.
